Santa Glenn

Who is he and what's his story?

Oakbrook Center

November 21, 2013

mallI still remember, as a 4 or 5 year old, visiting Santa at the local Buster Brown Shoes store. I was already keenly aware that this was probably not THE Santa since he had on a fake beard and moustache, but I knew he had the job that I wanted to have some day. After spending a year in the chair in St. Louis, I am proud to be Santa at Oakbrook Center in Chicago!

Atlanta's Santas

November 1, 2013

My biggest dream when I decided to don the Red Suit, was to be Santa at the Mall. I turned down several opportunities because I wasn't confident that I could answer the questions many children would have for me. After three seasons, including sharing the set with another Santa, 3 different Santa schools, and 2 Santa Conventions, I'm now ready to take my full-time place in the big chair. I know that leaves a void where I worked before and the new families that have heard about me. Please contact Elp Steph at Atlanta's Santas to find the perfect Santa for your holiday event.

About Me

In the Beginning:

The first child of Thomas and Janis, I was born at Crawford Long Hospital in downtown Atlanta on March 13, 1956. Having been born and raised in Atlanta, and with the exception of 9 years I worked in Cincinnati Ohio, lived my entire life in Metro Atlanta. That's why I'm comfortable with the tag "The Atlanta Santa".

The Growing Years:

I am a product of public education. I attended Northwoods Elementary School in Doraville, graduated from Peachtree High School in Dunwoody, and also spent time at The Georgia Institute of Technology (Ga. Tech). I married Michele Hauck in 1980 at her family's home in Alpharetta. We have two adult children, Adam and Alix, who are both married. We had our first grandbaby, Jude Eleanor, in September, 2011!

Where I'm Headed:

For the past 10 years I have worked with my wife and two of her sisters running A Classy Flea in Marietta. I have always worn a beard and Shelley has always preferred that I keep it on at all times. On December 1, 2010, I decided to go to her hair salon and get my hair and beard completely bleached so it would be uniform in color. The look was stunning and the response was even more incredible. I was Santa, no, I AM Santa - just ask anyone!

My first Santa "gig" was just 2 weeks later when I hosted a Pet Pictures with Santa day at A Classy Flea as a fund raiser for rescue animals. A month later I was being photographed by celebrity photographer Barbara Beneville and the reception has been more than I could ever imagine. We are negotiating with talent agencies to find the best fit. Hopefully, you will be seeing a LOT of me over the coming years.

What You Get:

I have a real beard and a real belly. I have had a thorough national background check through the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas. I carry my own $2 million liability insurance. I am a husband, a father, and as of September, 2011, a grandfather. I am a native of Atlanta and have all of the Southern Gentleman charm you would expect. I have a twinkle in my eyes and joy in my heart. I have the look that is immediately identified as Santa.
